This is Colorado Hops...   In addition to the peaches and apples we have grown in our orchards for over 100 years, Gunnison River Farms has recently planted 20 acres of hops that will produce over 20,000 pounds of product. A significant portion of the fields have never been planted with any other crop besides hops. This, paired with a mixture of cool nights, clean water (directly from the river), and nutrient-rich riparian soils, sets us up for producing a high-quality product. Our early crop has been tested and has shown to be higher in Alpha Acids and Essential Oils than hops grown on the larger farms in the Pacific Northwest.

Our hops are grown sustainably

We use locally sourced compost along with our own composted/recycled harvest plants. Our sustainable pest management is achieved mainly using beneficial insects and organic pesticides following Integrated Pest Management practices. We do minimal processing to maintain the high quality, harvested from the field. We dry and pelletize our hops at low temperatures to insure the quality you receive retains the character we see in the field.
